In the opening round of the 2024 PNC Championship, Tiger and Charlie Woods shoot a 13-under 59 to tie for the lead at Ritz-Carlton Golf Club.

• The PGA TOUR heads to Florida this week for the PNC Championship as 19 impressive family duos challenge over two days for the title. Tiger and Charlie Woods return for the fifth time as a pair and look for their first win at this event. Tiger’s start this week comes after he underwent his sixth back surgery in September to alleviate back spasms and pain he had been experiencing throughout 2024. The pair finished tied for fifth last year with their best being solo second in 2021. John Daly and his son John Daly II will also be in the field this week. They claimed 2nd place in 2022, T5 last year and were victorious in 2021. John Daly’s highest finish this year was T22 at the American Family Insurance Championship in September. Bernard Langer and son Jason will look to successfully defend their title from a year ago. The win in 2023 was Langer’s fifth PNC Championship victory, tying the all-time record. He’s won three times with Jason and twice with his older son, Stefan. Others to look out for are Vijay Singh and his son Qass, Matt Kuchar and his son Carson, and Nelly Korda and her father Petr.

  4. I hope we can see Tiger 🐅 make 1 or more runs in 2025 otherwise it will be TGL & golf designs & no tour. We wanna see tiger win a few more majors before hanging it up. Otherwise I'm pulling for team Woods to take the crown tomorrow

  5. Charlie has the best coach in the game. Kids got serious talent. Golf isnt easy and he's showing he's not afraid of his fathers massive shadow.

If he has the ambition for it I’m pretty confident we will see Charlie on tour someday very impressive as a 15 year old he’s been showing he’s has the goods and is just as unflappable as dad when the cameras are rolling. Good to see Tiger swinging free again and in good spirits if not for that disastrous crash he could very easily still be playing at an elite 2018-2019 level after the fusion which in hindsight he should’ve done years before he did. The swing, the speed, mental toughness, the iron play, and touch and feel all still there, he just doesn’t have the stamina to walk some of these courses and he is way to proud to ask for a cart like JD 😂 although I’m sure anyplace our tournament he wants to play would make a special exception because of the crowds and revenues he brings and he doesnt have the fast recovery time so come Sunday it’s at its worst feeling due to inflammation zThe amount of time and body prep he has to do just to get ready to play and do after the round must be exhausting as well golf will never be the same when he walks away

  24. Huge Tiger fan, but stop kissing Charlie’s A$$ as he’s a good product due to the fact he will have access to all the best coaches and equipment money can buy.
    Will he emulate his Father? I’m not so sure. But you never know.

  33. Finishing tied for the lead on day 1 at 59 is a good start by any measure. It's always so enjoyable to see the family dynamic at thus event with Tiger, Charlie and Sam on the bag.
