I think it is likely that Tiger would’ve broken all of Jack’s records had he not foolishly made decisions that resulted in injuries that wrecked his career. Tiger always had this hero-worshiping reverence for his father and his father’s military experience in the Vietnam war. He got a silly idea in his head that he would train not just like Navy SEALs, but with them and engaged in a bunch of very long – greater than 10 mile – runs in combat boots rather than running shoes. That likely screwed up his knees and his spine subsequently. Without his injuries, I think Tiger right now would have probably 22 majors, give or take a couple.
I’m not sure if Tiger had another major left in him as of the date of his car accident, but the injuries from that accident certainly prevented him from being able to play golf on a regular basis and will likely cause him to retire in the next year or two. He’s not going to be Ben Hogan. It’s likely that his scandals and divorce also cost him at least a major or two.

Jack, hands down, not even close. Beyond golf, Jack is a true gentleman and family man, Tiger will never be this.
