Twenty of the world’s best arrive in The Bahamas this week for the Hero World Challenge at Albany Golf Course. Scottie Scheffler returns to defend his title and is in action for the first time since the Presidents Cup. The World No. 1 has won seven times in 2024 – plus the gold medal at the Paris Olympics – and has 16 top-10 finishes in 19 starts this year. Scheffler was nominated for the Jack Nicklaus Award as PGA TOUR Player of the Year and is looking to become the first player to win the award three years in a row since Woods in 2005-07. Justin Thomas will also be in the field this week. After three straight fifth-place finishes in the event, he set a personal best with a solo third last year at Albany. He claimed T2 in his last start at ZOZO CHAMPIONSHIP. Ludvig Åberg returned to the TOUR after knee surgery in September to defend his title at The RSM Classic, where he finished T17, and will look to build on that success at Albany in his first time competing in the event. Others to look out for are Wyndham Clark, Sahith Theegala, Patrick Cantlay and Robert MacIntyre.

  1. His OCD twitching is getting worse every time I watch him. Starting to look like Rodney Dangerfield out there.

  2. He’s one of the worst putters on tour , so when he stands there after missing putts often , it doesn’t make sense , he should be just thinking that’s normal for him and move on …. If he could improve his putting by even like 20-30 percent then he’d have some momentum …. Also he bogeyed one par 5 and parred a few others , and he’s supposed to have gained speed

  3. Scheffler is the best player on the tour now, so for Thomas to be one shot ahead with a round to go is quite a feat. I still think that Scheffler will win the Hero Challenge, but Thomas has put himself in a very good position. A word has to be said for Tom Kim. A 62 which had a double bogey in it was truly a noteworthy achievement ! Roll on tomorrow night.
