Honorary Starters at the Masters Over the Years
Since 1963, the Honorary Starters ceremony has served as the official start to the Masters Tournament on Thursday morning of each Masters week. Featuring legends of the game from so many eras including Gene Sarazen, Sam Snead, Arnold Palmer and Jack Nicklaus, this tradition is a beloved part of Masters lore.

Since 1934, the Masters Tournament has been home to some of golf’s greatest moments. Amidst blooming azaleas, towering pines and flowering dogwoods, the first full week of April ushers in a stage unique to golf and to sport. Over four days and 72 holes, the smallest field in major championship golf competes for a chance to capture the Green Jacket and a place in Masters history.

It's the best weekend of the entire golf season. I really miss Arnold Palmer.
Make President Trump an honorary starter in 2025.
The greatest tradition!
