I saw a comment on YT just today. Someone saying Tiger Woods was a loser in the context of golf.
It bugged me. Until I realised that person is probably some young kid who missed prime Tiger or simply wanted to get a rise out of people.
Tiger Woods objectively is great in the context of golf but also subjectively for me. I can’t think about this gent, without remembering some intense final rounds on Sunday watching Tiger in action with my dad. He was so clutch. When that red shirt came out it was like Jordan with his tongue out! Even if he was some way off the lead, you knew by the end he’d either be on top or right in the mix. Either way you were in for an entertaining evening. I’m really happy I got to experience that, even as a spectator.
