Known for dramatic finishes and notable champions, the Wanamaker Trophy—which has been awarded to the winner since 1916—is inscribed with names such as Brooks Koepka, Rory McIlroy, Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, Jack Nicklaus, and Gary Player.

May never recovered from missing birdie on 15. He couldn't hit a fairway after that.

Tiger was such a great competitor! Bob May was playing the best golf of his LIFE, hitting miracle shot after miracle shot and Tiger is just like to H^ll with this cinderella story, I'm winning this tournament and he buries a 15 footer for birdie. Unbelievable!

There was something fishy about the shot that Tigers drive on the last hole went into the bush and then there was a delay of about 5 seconds and then his ball came back out as if an Angel threw the ball out of the Bush 🫣, and there was a few people walking by the area at the time the ball came down at the 57:45 time mark. So if you can just go back and re-play it to that mark and stop the video and watch the ball come down into the bush and start a count it takes about 5 seconds before the ball comes out of the Bush 😳. And then go back and look up the article in the Sports Illustrated Magazine the following story because Bob May got letters from people telling him that they saw a person threw the ball out of the Bush, it’s all recorded in Sports Illustrated.
