What makes Scheffler and McIlroy similar on the golf course? 🤔

the commonality is I think the is the focus and and when you’re on the Range and watching them hit golf balls or listening more so listening to them hit golf balls uh there’s a different sound to it because they just don’t miss the middle of the face and uh I think obviously Scotty’s not as long as Rory and he can’t probably separate himself on a golf course like that with pure length uh but his ball striking the amount of greens he hits he just wears you out that way and then his amazing Pair of Hands Rond the greens uh if he putts awful then he finishes in top 10 he putts decent uh he wins he put putts great he runs away

  1. I love the fact that he shares so much more than he ever has.

It's funny for me to hear Tiger say that.

I dated a girl on the Stanford Golf Team at the same time as Tiger was there.

I was a Club Pro at the time, and we were on the school practice range, her practicing and me watching her and talking.

There was a skinny kid at the far end of the range, hitting balls.

Just then I heard a sound that I had only heard once before.

In 1986 I had caddied for ChiChi Rodriguez, and ChiChi hit some balls that made a DIFFERENT SOUND.

THAT was the sound this kid was making.

So I asked the girl, "who in the hell is that ?"

She said, " That's Tiger Woods, he's gonna be GREAT !"

    She sure was correct.

He stopped and said hello as he was leaving that night, the three of us were the only people there.

Of course I had no idea that he would become arguably the greatest to ever play the game.

I suspected that lots of Tour caliber players would make that sound with a golf ball.

I learned from my Nike Tour experience that only very few dudes hit it like that.

No one knows that more than this man.
