The PGA TOUR heads to Albany in The Bahamas for the Hero World Challenge in what is an exceptionally strong field on New Providence Island. 82-time PGA TOUR winner Tiger Woods returns for the first time since teeing it up at the Masters Tournament seven months ago. He made two TOUR starts earlier this year, finishing T45 at The Genesis Invitational before making the cut at the Masters. Woods says he is pain-free coming into the tournament after his ankle fusion in April. Viktor Hovland will also be at Albany to defend his title once again as he aims for a three-peat. The reigning FedExCup champion has not teed it up on the PGA TOUR since his triumph at East Lake Golf Club, but he played twice on the DP World Tour this fall, finishing T5 at the BMW PGA Championship and T2 at the DP World Tour Championship. World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler will tee it up for the first time since the Ryder Cup. Scheffler has finished second at the Hero World Challenge the last two years. Max Homa also returns to action with a run of five-straight top-10s on the PGA TOUR. He’s finished in every top-25 since missing the cut at the Travelers Championship in June. Others to look out for are Justin Thomas, Rickie Fowler, Jordan Spieth and Collin Morikawa.

  1. Great to see Tiger back in action!! This round could’ve easily been a -5. The putter mistreated him on the back 9. Many close calls.

  2. If he lowered his expectations he’d probably destroy it. He’s probably killing his game thinking of shots he has hit in the past.

  3. He cannot wins championship with that shape. He must tone down at least 30% of his weight and a bit lean to compete. His instructor fitness must do something about this. It's not rusty but too heavy..

  4. So he hand-picks a few friends and calls it a tournament? If there was a cut, he'd fake an injury and pull out since he's nearly last. He's protecting his win% by not playing/finishing real events

  5. I think folks are jumping the gun saying Tiger is back. Wish I could believe that. I'm just hoping we all get to see him play 8-10 times next year. To me, that'd be amazing!!

  6. Tiger is serious about winning and has obviously gotten jacked (one way or another), but I wonder why. I think he's still chasing Jack but it's not gonna happen.

  7. Tiger is a lesson to all of the young ones. Golf is played at retirement old age. Hope he will continue to play at old age. Sad to see such a great champion going through this.

  8. ❤ Tiger. He's not taking those confident riskier shots he used to be comfortable and eager to send. I feel like he just needs to get the ground beneath him for a few competitive rounds and then he will start dialing it in and thinking outside the box the way only Tiger can. I hope we get to see him really turn it on again.

  9. Still the goat IMO. These days when he plays it’s like an international golfing holiday weekend if he makes the cut

  10. When Tiger was younger he was the greatest golfer of all time and he wasn’t nearly this gigantic. How can all of these new muscles work together well enough to finesse the ball towards the hole efficiently?

PS- It’s just my opinion but it seems like overly large muscles would get in the way and limit flexibility.

  11. Amazes me how tiger can perform after these long injury lay offs. Must be hard with the injuries, the restrictons he has and he physically cant practice as much as he would like. Enjoy watching whilst he can still play in tournaments.

  12. Leave the guy alone. Jesus. "Hey tiger how come you aren't paying as great as you used to?" Like have you followed him the past few years at all?
