Justin Thomas' dramatic attempt to make FedExCup Playoffs

Justin Thomas’ dramatic attempt to make FedExCup Playoffs

At the 2023 Wyndham Championship, Justin Thomas knew he needed a strong finish to qualify for the FedExCup Playoffs by entering the top 70 in the FedExCup standings. After a heroic attempt at a birdie on the 72nd hole to secure his spot in the Playoffs, Thomas did not know whether he would qualify. At the conclusion of the tournament, Thomas would finish 71st as Ben Griffin secured the 70th spot in the standings, forcing Thomas to miss the Playoffs for the first time in his career.

  1. I'm screaming at the TV. Take the flag out, take the flag out! You need a birdie! Give yourself a chance, take the flag out! Guess it never crossed the minds of Justin or Bones.

  2. “Hello Memphis!!” on 15? Lolol. Come on.

The media and commentator coverage around JT’s recent play is just laughable and an embarrassment.

Better luck next year tho JT.

  3. JT, such a little drama.queen! Lol. Better luck in the Ryder Cup though.

  4. No way to know beforehand but if they had tended that flagstick or pulled it that was definitely down. Anyways hindsight is 20/20 but JT definitely showed why he was World #1 not that long ago

  5. Almost made me as happy as watching the US women lose in the World Cup. After all the 💩 talking he did the last year about LIV. So glad he failed.

  6. And he will perform in the ryder cup but Bryson with his 58 and the LIV win not….. Stupid PGA! By the way : Iike jt but he has to bounce back.

  7. Only a couple players are sick and he drops into playoffs? If not, 18 is not only bad luck but whole season was just not good enough, simple as that. If he gets in i believe he could excell. He a player who can skyrocket, always fun to watch.

  8. Pick up your participation trophy in the clubhouse, JT. We'll see you next year. There are 20 other players more deserving of a Ryder Cup this time around, sorry. You did earn over 2 million, though, one top ten.

  9. Karma rides a slow horse, but he gets around.
When he cockingly said that to Wyndham Clarke about marking his ball after winning one major…I think it's Karma reminding him not to be so cocky…plus I bet he was last picked in dodgeball in middle school…
