   Probably the finest golf shot.

4. Jack was laser focused. When he played he was locked in. I think the snooping media and crazy social media would not have bothered Jack had he played today but he was perfect for his time. I had his clubs and used his golf balls.

5. There was a short article about this shot in one of the major golf magazines. It showed an actual-size pic of the 1-iron head, it's barely bigger than the ball. They had a scratch player and an average hacker hit that type of 1-iron. The average hacker got like 130 yards. The scratch player got 185, he was awed by Nicklaus for this. I forget the details as it was in like 2005- I think both players actually got multiple tries, and that 185 was the maximum the scratch player got, he could not replicate the shot. It had a graph showing where the 130 and 185 would have gone on the hole compared to Nicklaus, really put it into perspective.

15. I have watched that shot highlight for decades and it still stands the test of time of all time great, clutch, AND electric shots. Old equipment, old ball technology, WIND, US OPEN, and a 1970s 1 iron. Hits the stick. Yeah, try to do that.
