That's funny. I've been following her for a long time, and have seen so many comments on various videos about her not winning. Finally, she won and when I went to those videos to reply and rub it in the naysayers eyes, those comments are pretty much impossible to find. Methinks they deleted their comments for some reason. Congrat's Michelle. I sometimes saw you playing at Olomana, and hoped you would do well. Hope you continue playing well and seeing your name at the top of leaderboards.
I hate myself for not going to this tournament. I'm not really a golf guy, but I love me some Michelle Wie & a big fan of Tiger. I would've gladly drove 2 hrs & 20 minutes to see her…..& the fact that she made history would've just been icing on the super sweet cake. Maybe next year…them 141 miles would be completely worth it
Congratulations!
You've come a long way from seeking exemptions to practice at Waialae CC for the Sony till today. Congratulations and best wishes. You represented Hawaii well, including your "shaka"!
Such a classy lady! And to top it all she is so academically accomplished. Watch out womens golf, there is a new sheriff in town!!
i guess shes ready for the PGA now?
So proud of her, always been a fan
It took some time,but all good things come to those who work for it,and Michelle has done the work.Congrats on her first major.
walking off the 18th green after her interview she became the first golfer ever, that i have seen, to make that little horned one type hand signal that they are all talking about. it will be interesting to see if she does it again. maybe it was just a fluke this time
she made a "shaka" gesture with her hand which was associated generally with hawaiians and surfers, not illuminati or horn or whatever you losers come up with. She's finally won and damn well deserved it. You criticize her for not winning for such a long time and now that she has you people always find something to put her down. "Damn if she does, damn if she doesn't."
Congratulations to Michelle Wie! Makes this win even sweeter especially after all the uphills you've had to climb to get to this point. Savor this moment and keep getting better and damn to all the naysayers!
On the video clip showing Michele Wie winning her first major tournament, she walks onto the green wearing purple shorts, and on her left leg she sports two large stickers that I think are flags, but I can't be sure. Are they the Stars and Stripes, or are they supposed to depict the British coat of arms?
whos the girl in the pink top? dynamite boobs
class act
This is her year,,,,,,,she is just great
Typed on the news of Her marriage to Jonnie West, the date August 13, 2019….
I must pay tribute to Michelle Wie's parents, They "played the game" right In my opinion, They were able to maximize Michelle's earning power when She turned pro, with that money, Michelle was able to get a Stanford education, which In turn, Allowed Her to "grow up" In public & on the LPGA tour….Now with this marriage, I think this signals Michelle "saying goodbye" to golf at least for a considerable time because I think that She Is going to have a family with Her husband Jonnie West, Hopefully a large family, So congratulations to Michelle & Jonnie and their family & friends….In Closing, some people will say that Michelle's golf career was "unfulfilled", Maybe….But If Michelle Wie was destined to win only one major, She picked the right one, Her country's national open on a "legendary" course that Is mentioned on the level as a St Andrews or Pebble Beach for example, The 2014 US Women's Open at Pinehurst…."they" can never take It away from Her, Thank you.
SHE'S A REAL PLAYER!! I TAKE MY HAT OFF TO THESE LADIES.
This win has allowed her to live up to the hype. So stoked for her. Michelle Wie US Open Major Winner 🏆
