Brooks Koepka - Slow motion driver swing analysis

Brooks Koepka – Slow motion driver swing analysis

Recent winner of 2017 US Open, Brooks Koepka, is featured in this analysis video. Tyler discusses a key movement of the arms for helping maximize power. However, with a significantly steep angle of attack and a leftward path, you want to be careful copying his release. If you struggle with slices or a chicken wing seeing Brooks tour version of a steep release could help you understand why you struggle with those moves.

  1. If you want to learn about golf swings in details, you will learn about the strategies and secrets of appropriate golf swings through the , Jοmtοnο Naha (Go ogle it). Halfway down the guide and I am pretty amazed. I`ve obtained Three straight low 80s rounds after reading through this particular book..

  2. Correct golf swings have to do with understanding how and why they are executed and those things are present in golf swing strategies , Jοmtοnο Naha (Go ogle it). My irons amplified Fifteen yards and my driver increased 25 after I finished reading through the tutorial for the 2nd time. Due to these improvements, I`m much more confident and I`m having more enjoyment with golf.

  3. He keeps the left hand lower/outside and right hand higher/inside until passing the inside of right leg! That means the shaft is still upward with bendingback curvature.
After that he start to pull the left wrist up and push the right wrist down. This creates rotational speed but the rotation always leave the club head behind the shaft.
We see the club head goes forward the shaft before impact and l believe the head will shoot away by itself.
So we need some extra power to drive the club head runs ahead of the shaft.
This power comes from making the shaft spinning by roll both wrists counterclockwisly and somehow you will find the fingers are roll backward!.
How to do this? I need some help.

  4. I hate to be rude but this is a terrible analysis of what he’s doing. He’s not pulling hands towards the ball – NO sport has it where hands go to ball. He’s pulling straight down, and too much talk of left leg. Notice his right knee goes towards target and his right foot comes off the ground early. That should be the focus of this video. Throw a baseball and tell me what your right foot and knee do

  5. Does it seem to anyone that he does not use his lower body very much in his swing? Mostly upper body and arms?? Not much hip rotation. Whatever works…he's one of the best.

  6. a sign that "his body is really pulling through his arms". HUH? How can a body pull arms through the arms through? The ONLY way for the arms to do what they are doing, is to use the arms, specifically the trail arm, which he has said he uses and hits as hard as he can.

  7. I never noticed this until I started doing it on the course myself but look how long he stays looking down at the ball into contact and keeps his head down after it's gone. It's kind of a taboo thing in golf instruction nowadays to keep head down but it's really noticeable in this swing.

  8. I either hit the ground before the ball or hit a huge slice and it’s difficult to pinpoint what I’m doing wrong

  9. His left arm bends thru impact to compensate for dipping on downswing so he is actually losingsome distance and accuracy

  10. 'most people think that lag comes from starting your lower body or having good sequencing'

"BUT lag can happen … a sign of good sequencing."

  11. Really great analysis. Believe it or not, it’s exactly what I do. I only hit a 220 yard drive, but it’s an effortless, slow, easy drive sequence for me. I can hit 10 in a row straight as an arrow with my driver. Not interested in hitting it harder or faster.
