they tried so hard to market her, but her game couldn't live up to the hype
I always admired how she wasn't completely obsessed with the game; stayed in school, truly made her family foremost and has just done it all her own way in the face of heavy criticism.
Just hit a ceremonial opening tee shot and give your spot to someone deserving to be there. She had her time in the spot light. No one wants to see a golfer way past their prime.
Michelle Wie is my age and I have always known her as the LPGA prodigy. Even if she didn't fully live up to her potential, she still deserves a respectable farewell. Wish her all the best
