  13. Pete, did you know that Close House was once owned by the University? It was used for some lectures but mostly as their sports centre. Cricket, football and rugby pitches and even a Golf Course. I was a member when I did my MSc in 1994. The fairways went across some of these playing fields so you couldn't play on Wednesday's during term time. You also had some interesting preferred lies in winter across the Rugby pitch. As a student, it was £35 a year full membership. Happy memories.

  24. Rockcliffe is Graeme Storm's home course and he's doing well at the masters after day 2!
    I was at Close house on Thursday it was superb, great to have a pro event in the North East.

  26. Between the 17th and 18th was a your golf travel bar a couple of burger vans and coffee stand I was stood on the 18 tee heard the bang from buzzas ball hit something. I nearly shit myself but I dont know if it was the sound of Buzzas ball or paying £7 FOR AN 8 OUNCE BURGER WITH ONIONS. Cheers for the photos of you and Rick when you were on your way up to the practice range. Finally i have to ask…., what hole did you enter rachel. she does sound a little out of breath doing the piece to camera walking up the hill to the 6th hole
