There’s more to sport than just winning. It also sets an example for drive and perseverance. Setting the example not to quit and stay in the fight. That’s what a hero is. He could petition for a cart but he wants to set the precedent that for him to compete he has to abide by the same standards as everyone else. That’s gutsy and if he should win nobody can say it’s because he was given special treatment.
