What's going on with his swing?
Love how shallow he’s getting on downswing now. And club path is more left/inside after impact which tames his infamous chicken wing.
Speith's swing here kind of reminds of 2021 Masters champion Hideki Matsuyama's swing with the short pause at the top of the backswing.
He is using the move to “get in the slot” in the downswing. It’s not so much the top of the backswing but how it gets his hands to drop from there and stay on plane and getting the hands both in the right place and in the correct “pose” to hit through the ball efficiently.
This looks much closer to his original swing when he first started on tour which I think is excellent. I wasn't a fan of the first time changed his swing and thought it was detrimental, but this looks great in my opinion
