Tiger Woods will be make his first official start since The 150th Open last summer at St. Andrews and first non-major TOUR start since the ZOZO CHAMPIONSHIP in October 2020. The 82-time winner on the PGA TOUR will be joined by all of the top 30 players in the FedExCup standings, as well as 23 of the top 25 players in the world. These include No. 1 Scottie Scheffler who returned to the top of the Official World Golf Ranking after winning by two shots at last week’s WM Phoenix Open and Rory McIlroy, who finished T10 at last year’s event. Local favorite and 2021 winner Max Homa is in action once again, as is two-time winner of the event Adam Scott. Viktor Hovland will head to Riviera full of confidence, having finished inside the top 5 his last two outings. Similarly, John Ram will be hoping to continue his exceptional run of form that has seen him win twice already on the PGA TOUR in 2023 at the Sentry Tournament of Champions and The American Express.

  1. When I was in prison, a guard at the end of his shift every night would say to us: NEVER, NEVER, NEVER GIVE UP.
I knew he was stealing it from Churchill but it still gave me goosebumps.
And watching this clip reminded me of that guard and what he would say.

  2. It is Great to see him play! The Sport has changed. It would be great to see him win again. The sport needs to make him out to be the same Tiger when they know he is not in his prime.

  3. While Jack Nicklaus is my favorite golfer of all time it was Arnold Palmer and Tiger Woods who brought golf to the masses.

  4. Honestly hated tiger as a kid, but now being an adult and understanding how flawed humans are, it’s hard not to root for the guy.

  5. Crazy to see how conservative he plays now. A younger Tiger would've full sent the second shot from the rough lol

  6. The commentator needs to shut up , the ball just touches the green and he says it needs to go , and then the ball ends up past the hole even , morons

  7. shame people can’t just sit back and enjoy the moment. have to get there phones out to put on social media…

  8. What percentage of people watching the shot through their phones will ever watch that video again? What's the point of being there if you're going to watch it through a screen?

  9. Let’s be real no other golfer in the tour can get every single age group to pull their phones or cameras out to record and take pics. Just look how many ppl wanted to record him on the first tee off

  10. I watched Tiger here at Riviera as a 16 year old amateur and a handful of times over the years as I lived in Pacific Palisades…however, Tiger's game of "bombing it" when he was much younger did not quite suit this course (as you need to work the ball in both directions here…more of a tactician's course)…but now that Tiger's is older and playing a "different game" than the past he just may have a better chance to win here for the first time. Pulling for you Tiger…

  11. I was a fan of tiger through all his scandals, injuries and believed he could win again back when people hated him and said he was done. I stuck by him. Now,Having heard him talk about LIV and the pga and leaving friendships because of it. it is clear how insulated and dumb he is. Not realizing that he has been accepting Saudi money since 99 lol. Officially not a fan of him currently
