元プロ野球選手で野球解説者の東尾修さんと娘でプロゴルファーの東尾理子さんが2月10日、東京都内で行われた「『二世帯住宅の日』制定記念イベントに登場。2世帯住宅についてトークショーを行った理子さんは「子供のことが中心で主人（石田純一さん）のことを忘れがち。主人が可哀そうだなと。主人との時間も大切にしたい。デートのときは（親に）子供を見ていてほしいと思うこともある」と話すと、修さんは「（デートに）一緒に行くよ！ 冗談じゃないよ」と応え、会場を沸かせた。
イベントには理子さんと修さん親子のほか、元格闘家の魔裟斗さんと女優の矢沢心さん夫妻も出席た。
イベントは、旭化成ホームズが1975年に2世帯住宅を発売して40周年となる今年、2月10日を「二世帯住宅の日」と決めたことを記念して開催された。

On February 10th, Osamu Higashio (a former professional baseball player and baseball commentator ) and his daughter – professional golfer Riko Higashio – appeared at an event to celebrate the establishment of “Day of two-generation houses” in Tokyo.
Riko, who joined a talk show about two-generation houses, said: “My children have become the center of my life, so I often forget my husband (Mr. Junichi Ishida). I feel pity for my husband, so I cherish my time with him. I have also thought about asking my parents to look after my children while we’re going on a date”, Osamu chimed in immediately: “I will go (on a date) with you both! I’m not kidding!”, drawing boisterous laughter from the audience.
