Rickie Fowler shoots 4-under 66 | Round 3 | ZOZO | 2022

In the third round of the 2022 ZOZO CHAMPIONSHIP, Rickie Fowler carded a 4-under 66 to get to 14-under for the tournament, good enough for a one-stroke lead over the field heading into Sunday.

At last year’s ZOZO CHAMPIONSHIP, Masters champion Hideki Matsuyama delighted the home fans by becoming the first Japanese winner of the event. The 30-year-old returns to Accordia Golf Narashino Country Club looking to defend his title after an impressive final-round 65, including an eagle on the 72nd hole, saw him finish five shots clear of the field. Xander Schauffele will tee it up this week as the highest-ranked player in the field. The world No. 5 is no stranger to success in Japan, winning the gold medal at the Tokyo Olympics in 2021. The American finished 4th at the TOUR Championship and will hope to continue where he left off after holing the winning putt at the 2022 Presidents Cup in September. Sungjae Im finds himself in great form following a seventh-place finish at last week’s Shriners Children’s Open and a T2 finish at the TOUR Championship. Tommy Fleetwood will be making his first PGA TOUR start since the Genesis Scottish Open, as he searches for his first win on TOUR. His Ryder Cup teammate Viktor Hovland will also be teeing it up alongside Rickie Fowler, Cameron Young and Joel Dahmen.

  1. Im pulling for rickie hes playing so good right now fun fact last year the same week he had a 54 hole lead at the cj cup but going back to butch is helping he had a top 5 at the fortinet and her can win hes playing like vintage rickie

  2. Rickie looks like his swing has changed a little, not quite as flat as it used to be. Steeper on the backswing especially with shorter irons, should help his consistency quite a bit. Good to see him turn it around.

  3. Hopefully he can pull through he looked uncomfortable and out of place after his round. It’s been a long time probably a lot of self doubt

  4. Ricky's swing looks solid! Well balanced and doesn't seem to be laid off in the back swing. Butch helping him again seems to be working
